Inhumido – John The Revelator

Genre: Alternative Rock
Location: Italy

The second entry from Italy. Inhumido joins DRC with there version of John The Revelator. The song is splitted in two parts. It begins with a distorted voice but with the words: “By claiming god as his holy right” it really starts to rock. I love this version!

Band info: Inhumido is an Italian rock band formed in 2011 in Palagianello (TA) Italy. Born from the ashes of three groups.

The singer Leonida, a student of Duni Conservatory of Matera, in the past has formed other groups, the last of which dates back to 2009, called ”Another History”. Gargo has had several experiences with live ”Bitterwine” (where he was the only boy) broke up in early 2011. Preppy and Peppe have already worked together in their latest project ’After The Sunset ”, but before that they both had different experiences: Peppe in a punk band (HardWine) and Preppy in a cover band of ”le Vibrazioni (Eclettica).

The project starts in July 2011 but was being prepared long before. The singer, bassist and drummer had to wait the return of guitarist.

The tests begin immediately with the preparation of new songs, among which ”Mia Sconosciuta” that the group decides to use for a video clip, found on their YouTube page.

Band members:
Leonardo Tamburrano / Voice & Keyboard
Giuseppe Mercante / Guitar
Giuseppe Miraglia / Bass
Pietro Gargano / Drum

This time it’s a solo artist again. Willie Wardlaw has done all by himself. I really like the intro with samples from tv and radio news.

Band info: Willie Wardlaw is a solo artist, based out of Springfield Missouri. He has spent over half of his life, playing and recording music with various bands, all while continuing to record songs on his own, in his own time.

Rhuith – Wrong

Genre: Weird Black Metal
Location: Italy

A dirty and strange version of Wrong from a nice guy called Alex. He does all by himself. He also told me, that he recorded this version with his bad and broken equipment. I think you should honor that when hearing the song. I like the the growl parts most.

Band info: Weird black metal? Blackened dark pop? Italian low-fi weirdo RHUITH is the kind of band impossible to define. Gaining attention thanks to his twisted approach to black metal and unconventional cover songs (Portsihead, Placebo, Depeche Mode, Everything but the Girl); RHUITH has developped is own style far away from any trend. Every new release will define a new step in the exploration of XV’s personal obessions and the world of the invisible. Collaboration has been made with other act like LONESUMMER and ROTORVATOR and will continue in the future.

Band members:
XV: all music and lyrics

Intermezzo: Kerfusion 11

Sorry for the leak of updates. But this week had biber hapi  many lows and highs and it was very stressful too. My car wrecked this week, when I had a first date with a really sympathetic woman. Okay the date was fine and it could be get great with her. Well the positive thing is, that she wants to see me again . Me too! But also my car is really fucked up. What a nice birthday gift from my car. First thing I thought was that my car is maybe jealous, like the car “Christine” from Steven Kings movie. My car wouldn’t let me to drive to my date. But I arrived and I think it was worth of it.

Also Andy aka Dominatrix (really talented remixer) ask me this week, if I could finish the artwork for the new Kernfusion. So I had done this too, because it should be released this weekend. If you like DM you should listen to this masterpiece of remixes. You’ll find the download of Kernfusion 11 – Fusion Of The Universe in the download section of http://www.depechemode-forum.eu.

Offical DRC logo and deadline for DRC1

Today I just want let you to know, that I decided the deadline for the DRC1 entries. The deadline date is set now on december 7th, 2008. All entries after this date will be released on DRC2. I aim the release for DRC2 in mid of summer 2009. The most bands who are on the Coming soon page, I always had informed about the deadline. I received many positve emails back. So I can promise, that there will be come some more entries until deadline.

I’ll take at least 2 weeks to finish tracklist and artwork. When nothing terrible happens, the first compilation will be released before christmas. A dream started in summer 2008 becomes true.

Also I’ll proudly present you the final logo for DRC. This is only the rough scretch, but actually I like this dirty version of the logo. I really like the idea of building a ‘rock star’ with the small letters of ‘drc’. Later I’ll vectorize it and do also a 3D logo from it. I planned to integrate the logo in the site design. But this has actually no priority for me.

Nearly I forget to tell you, that I’ll give you an update after the deadline. This update will tell you the final tracklist of DRC1. That’s all for now.

Rock on.
